Background

Samantha has delivered successful grant-led projects and programmes both in the public and the third sector, and has extensive experience of working with diverse stakeholder groups across the UK to both secure funding and deliver and embed cutting-edge programmes.

Her primary interest is community engagement, equality and social inclusion. In particular, she has worked with local partnerships to develop solutions tackling long-term worklessness.

Samantha has a background in delivering innovative programmes and working on exciting projects such as London 2012 Olympic Games and the BBC’s Digital Switchover Help Scheme to ensure that older and disabled people were supported to navigate the switch to digital and not left with a blank television screen in 2012.  Since 2019, Samantha has worked in local government settings, the Greater London Authority and London Borough of Newham as Voluntary and Community Sector Partnership Manager, commissioning infrastructure support for the sector to thrive.

She previously led multiple services for one of the G15 social landlords as Head of Volunteering, Partnerships and Social Enterprise based at Arlington, a flagship multi-use homeless hostel, conference centre, arts space and studios based in Camden Town.

An experienced charity trustee, non-executive director and elected councillor in Lewisham, Samantha is excited to be part of the Ekaya board.
