Background
Kate Parsley MSc FRSPH has over 17 years of experience working in the public sector in London, predominantly in public health, including leading 0-19 year-old health programmes, working closely with education providers and local authority commissioners. Prior to that Kate worked for over 2 years in Zimbabwe and Uganda in HIV prevention, and supporting orphans and vulnerable children.
Kate is an accomplished Board member and is also currently Trustee of ADVANCE, a charity supporting women in criminal justice system and domestic abuse situations; Governor and Committee Chair at Stanmore College, that provides education to 16-19 year olds and adult learners; and Board Advisor for We Hold A Hand, raising awareness of mental health internationally. Kate was previously a Trustee of Young Women’s Hub, that supports girls and young women with alternative education and youth work programmes.
Kate holds a Master’s in community health psychology from the London School of Economics, a CMI Level 6 certificate in management and leadership and is currently studying an MBA in health management. Since summer 2024, Kate has been a freelance consultant, helping the public and voluntary sectors with service design, strategy, evaluation, and insight research.
Kate is passionate about social justice, wider determinants of health and community engagement and is an active ally for people with global majority heritage and the LGBTQI+ community.
